YOU’LL BE DOING 

  • Supervising the investigation and management of safeguarding concerns and allegations across cricket in England and Wales.Developing framework for case management concerns to be managed; including caseload volume, investigation plans, thresholds, and reviews.
  • Developing information sharing procedures for cross-sport NGB’s, to ensure appropriate risk management.
  • Working alongside the Safeguarding Manager to develop robust and clear criteria for cases which are ready to be heard by RMG.
  • Working alongside the Safeguarding Manager to review cases to ensure they meet the criteria to be heard by RMG and transition effectively into the post RMG team.
  • Conducting annual review ECB Child Safeguarding procedures (case management), to ensure current legislation and best practice guidance is being followed.
  • Developing ECB safeguarding procedure (case management) for adults at risk, and review annually.
  • Overseeing the effective communication of safeguarding decisions to those that need to know using recognised disclosure protocols.
  • Taking responsibility for the review, development and implementation of consistent processes around referral management group to ensure the efficient and effective management of safeguarding cases.
  • Developing and commissioning or providing relevant training/resources to the ECB safeguarding team, RMG and wider cricket network.
  • Supporting practice and policy development around case management safeguarding processes.
  • Supporting the identification and development of case management IT systems to support case transition and long-term management of participants.
  • Maintaining accurate data collection across safeguarding processes to identify capacity and budget issues and support planning.
  • Line managing and supervise safeguarding management officers.

YOU’LL HAVE 

  • Substantial experience of safeguarding children within mainly voluntary organisational settings.
  • Substantial understanding of the statutory agencies network for safeguarding within England and Wales.
  • Knowledge of Children’s Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Experience of safeguarding adults.
  • Passionate about empowering children and the more vulnerable in society.
  • Significant experience of conflict resolution and dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Significant experience of working in a highly confidential environment.
  • High levels of personal resilience and persistence and significant level of emotional intelligence.
