With the retirement of one of our longest standing staff members, we now seek applicants for the vacancy of DSL/Attendance Lead/LAC Lead based at Linwood School, Alma Road, Bournemouth. This post is a key appointment to an essential post and an exciting career opportunity for the successful candidate.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead at Linwood School takes the lead on matters relating to the safeguarding our children and young people, monitors the safety and wellbeing of our LAC and monitors and acts on student attendance liaising with the Local Authority and other agencies as required.

The successful applicant will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

This is a non-class-based role.

The successful applicant will:-

  • Effectively promote inclusivity and safeguarding.
  • Play a decisive role in the strategic, operational and policy development of the provision through innovative and enterprising leadership.
  • Effectively manage individual and team performance, acting as a role model within the school community.
  • Adapt leadership style to a range of scenarios in support of the safeguarding team across campuses.
