Job Description

Are you a proactive, organised and collaborative individual with a proven record of planning and delivering a range of accredited and non-accredited training programmes in a non-traditional learning environment? Do you have extensive experience of assessing training needs and developing programmes to fulfil any identified needs?

If so, St Giles Trust is looking for a Safeguarding/EDI Trainer to join our team to develop and deliver training and development programmes to St Giles staff, which will enable staff to carry out their roles effectively and will support their personal and professional development.

About St Giles Trust

An ambitious, well-established charity that helps people facing adversity to find jobs, homes and the right support they need. Central to our ethos is our belief that people with first-hand experience of successfully overcoming issues such as an offending background, homelessness, addictions and gang involvement, hold the key to positive change in others.

St Giles is now a kickstart employer, so we are part of the scheme which provides job opportunities for 16-24-year-olds who are currently on Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment.

About this exciting opportunity

You will deliver this training in accordance with Awarding Organisation or St Giles requirements, as well as carrying out training needs analysis and, as a result, develop individual training plans for new St Giles staff or for staff moving into a new role.

We will count on you to maintain appropriate and accurate records of all delivery, making timely reports of activities and outcomes achieved, and to evaluate all training delivered – making ongoing adjustments to ensure training is of a consistently high standard. Maintaining your own continuous professional development and attending and participating in identified meetings with colleagues and other stakeholders are also a key duties.
