Windsor Forest College Group is looking for a Safeguarding and Welfare Manager to join the Langley and BCA team on a full-time basis.

Safeguarding and Welfare Manager

We are looking for a highly committed and dynamic professional to lead, inspire and manage our safeguarding provision across our FE Colleges (BCA and Langley); someone who is passionate about safeguarding and the welfare of young people.

The successful candidate will have significant safeguarding experience in managing a safeguarding team within education/or similar services and will be proactive, innovative, and resilient.

In brief the role will involve:

  • Managing and leading the Safeguarding Teams (FE)
  • Overseeing and making referrals to appropriate external agencies
  • Being a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
  • Sitting on (or ensuring) attendance of suitable staff at Child Protection, Channel Panel, Team around the family, Child in Need and Personal Education Plan meetings
  • Ensuring that the colleges are fully compliant with key safeguarding legislation
  • Maintaining and further developing the mental health provision
