Salary: £35,000 – £49,999 per annum, pro rata
Contract type: Permanent
Working pattern: Full-time and Term-time Only

Do you have a passion for Safeguarding and Welfare of children? Are you experienced in designing clear safeguarding and welfare strategies? Have you line managed a team to successfully deliver strategic priorities? Are you good at forming effective relationships with stakeholders?  If so this could be the perfect role for you.

This newly created role is pivotal to the design and delivery of the safeguarding, attendance and student Mental Health Wellbeing strategies across the Trust. As the subject expert you will be leading and managing the Safeguarding and Welfare team.

As the lead professional you will also act as the Trust’s main representative with associated external bodies with full responsibility for;
•    Leading safeguarding and MHWB networks
•    Develop policy and practice across the Trust
•    Collating safeguarding data and report to the Executive Director of School Improvement
•    Overseeing and supporting Principals with the most complex cases across the Trust

You will need to demonstrate;
•    Practical knowledge of working with attendance, safeguarding and mental health wellbeing in an educational context
•    Previous experience of operating as a Designated Safeguarding Lead
•    Experience of analysing data to identify trends

Please note this a is a term time only position plus 20 extra days and the salary will be therefore be calculated on a pro rata basis.
