We wish to recruit an experienced senior leader and/or adviser to join the School and Early Years Improvement Service (SEYIS) to lead on Safeguarding and Inclusion. You will be working with a small team of highly motivated and professional individuals, committed to ongoing improvement through working collaboratively with headteachers and their staff. You will work with other departments in the Council to ensure a joined up approach to providing for the most vulnerable children and young people.
You will have significant senior leadership experience preferably as a headteacher or adviser and a deep understanding of school improvement strategies. In addition, you will have a broad understanding of the wider curriculum and assessment frameworks. You will have a proven track record of leading improvements within your current educational role and of supporting more than one school.
In addition to supporting special schools as their named Improvement Adviser, the successful candidate will have the requisite skillset to support the development and improvement of schools as required. The role will include taking on borough wide responsibilities, working across Enfield and other local authorities and schools on occasion when this is commissioned.
Safeguarding of children and young people is taken seriously by the council and a disclosure and barring services check will be undertaken for successful applicants.
