Safeguarding Administrator (Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Site)

Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Group are working collaboratively to ensure that local people have access to the best possible healthcare services. The Group of hospitals have embarked on a significant transformation programme to drive change to secure improved outcomes for the communities served by the Trusts and the sustainability of the health and care economy across Mid and South Essex.

Safeguarding Services play a key part in the transformation programme, and following diagnostic work in the spring and early summer, the three trusts have embarked on a programme of work, with an aim to create a high quality and sustainable Safeguarding Service across the Group.

Following a restructure of the Group Safeguarding Services, we now have a full time vacancy for the safeguarding administration function for the Adult’s Safeguarding Service on the Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Site.

As part of the Group Children and Adults Safeguarding Services, the successful applicant will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Safeguarding Service and support the delivery and monitoring of the safeguarding of adults at risk.

The successful candidate will have proven administration experience, preferably within a healthcare setting. An understanding of the safeguarding of individuals at risk would be desirable.
