Devon and Cornwall Children’s Services are looking for Residential Support Workers to join their team at our Children’s Home in Tavistock, Devon. We are looking for enthusiastic staff to join the team in this new home.
Full time and part time hours available (20 / 40 hours per week) with a fantastic salary of up to £19,760 – £20,280 (depending on experience / Pro-rata for part time). Plus additional overtime hours available.
We offer full training provided at L3, opportunities for further career development up to L5 and sector specialist additional training in a wide range of courses once your permanent contract and enhanced rate of pay once completed.
Shifts patterns are: 8am – 9.30pm working on average 3 shifts per week and you will be required to work on average of 8 sleep-ins per month (this is based on a full time contract)
You may be required to work at one of our other homes – having your own transport or access to transport is essential for this position.

As a Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our children and young people. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families and other stakeholders, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in teaching them life skills.
