We’re excited to be opening a brand new four-bedroom home in Soham, Cambridgeshire, and we’re currently searching for a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to join our team at Area Camden.

About You

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home’s care and operations, from the day-to-day delegation and management to strategic planning for workforce development and home development plans. We’re looking for someone with at least 2-3 years of experience in managing children’s homes and a relevant childcare qualification in leadership and management.

You will be an effective leader and able to mentor and support your team to provide the best possible care for each child. You will also need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a good understanding of the SCCIF, Children’s Act 1989, and Care Standards Act 2000.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum NVQ level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People and will be able to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare. You will also need to be flexible and able to work outside regular office hours to meet the demands of the home.
