We are seeking a highly competent, enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our Trust Education team for January 2023 and become our new MAT Lead for SEND and Safeguarding
Job Summary
-
To develop and provide strategic oversight of SEND and Safeguarding across all AST schools.

To provide high quality support and challenge to all AST schools in regards to their SEND provision and Safeguarding practice.

To provide strategic leadership of the MAT’s approach to inclusion
-
To help shape and drive the Trust’s strategic objectives at a senior level.
Main Responsibilities

Further develop – in partnership with AST Principals – a trust wide strategy for SEND and Safeguarding

Lead the Professional Network for SEND and Safeguarding
-
To work with schools on developing appropriate local alternative provision.

Provide regular challenge and support for Principals and Senior Leaders within the Trust, holding them to account for the performance of SEND pupils

Lead and support quality assurance procedures across the Trust.

In conjunction with the Education Director develop an annual SEND and Safeguarding review cycle

Analyse school performance, diagnose issues, broker support, monitor impact and build outstanding leadership capacity for SEND and Safeguarding

Have and maintain an understanding of current educational issues and legislation to ensure the trust is kept at the forefront of national agendas relating to SEND and Safeguarding
