We are looking to recruit 5 x Independent Professional Advocates to provide independent and confidential advocacy to parents with children under the age of 18 years across Pan Gwent. You will have direct responsibility for a case load and will enable parents to make effective use of policies or complaints procedures by providing information, support and advice.
In your application, you will need to evidence, using specific examples, how your skills and experience meet the criteria laid out in the person specification, within the job description on our website..
Requirements include:
- A recognised professional qualification which evidences direct involvement with children/ young people and/or families and vulnerable adults
Experience and understanding of child/vulnerable adult safeguarding procedures
Ability to communicate effectively and to a high standard both orally and in writing, particularly with service users.
Knowledge of the legislation and policy for relevant service users and the accompanying guidance and regulation.
