We have a fantastic opportunity at Cwm Taf Morgannwg to lead our excellent corporate safeguarding service. Following the promotion of the current post holder a vacancy is available for a Head of Safeguarding. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of safeguarding and public protection, both within the organisation and as part of the regional partnership arrangements, ensuring the UHB discharges its statutory responsibilities in this area.
The post holder will have line management responsibilities for the Corporate Safeguarding Department which includes the health staff for public protection in the Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), the Children Looked After Team and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team.
The postholder must be a Registered Health Professional; possess highly specialised knowledge to Masters level; possess specialised and in-depth professional knowledge relevant to the sphere of responsibilities; have experience of working directly in multi-agency Public Protection Processes at a senior level; and of working with Multi-Disciplinary and Multi-Agency Teams at an operational & strategic level.
The postholder must be flexible to the service, motivated and innovative with good interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively within the Multi-Disciplinary / Multi-Agency Arena.
Appointment is subject to the receipt of a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check.
