Job Description

Peterborough is one of 75 Local Authority areas eligible for national Family Hubs funding and we are now searching for a lead officer to plan and coordinate local delivery of the programme.

It’s an exciting time to join as we begin sign up to the programme and designing the initial delivery plan. This is a high-profile role which will involve working closely with a wide range of key partners as well as liaising with and reporting key milestones to the DfE and DHSC.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, familiar with the Family Hubs agenda and driven to deliver successful transformation, ultimately improving outcomes for local children and their families.

With a generous annual leave allowance, a great pension scheme, agile working and a supportive team, this is a great opportunity to help shape the future ways of working.

The role is offered on a full time basis. We offer flexible working arrangements, but some travel across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire may be required. Most of the role can be undertaken remotely/from home with a formal base at Sand Martin House in Peterborough City Centre. Requests for secondments from current Peterborough City Council or Cambridgeshire County Council employees will also be considered.

This is a fixed Term contract until end of March 2025
