An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional leader to join Hyde High School’s Senior Team.  We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, hardworking and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to lead on Pastoral Care and play a major role in our continued delivery of school improvement and our drive for excellence.  The successful candidate will bring new ideas and approaches to our team to build on its many current strengths.  We are looking for an individual with natural presence who will be a role model for pupils, staff and the wider community.

Hyde High School is an over-subscribed and improving co-educational school with 1150 learners from a range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.  Our proudly multicultural school is recognised as having a harmonious ethos where pupils show positive attitudes to learning, kindness to others and where they achieve well.  We have high expectations of all members of our school community and strive to promote a true sense of pride and team spirit, where mutual respect and support are unequivocal and where learning is truly valued and at the heart of everything we do.  A dedicated and talented team of staff work hard to secure the best possible outcomes for all pupils; staff are well supported, morale is good and our latest Ofsted report shows a clear upwards trajectory.

Hyde is a well-funded and well-resourced school; our building is modern and very well-equipped with outstanding PE, music, science, DT and ICT facilities.

We welcome applications from senior leaders with a passion and ambition for improving the life chances of our pupils, enabling them to develop into confident, decent and successful members of the community. Potential candidates are very welcome to visit our school to experience, for themselves, the ethos and environment that makes Hyde such a special place to work and to learn.
