We currently have a vacancy for the post of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (SEND – Primary): Nigel Bowes Campus, 70 Ensbury Avenue, Bournemouth, BH10 4HG:

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (SEND – Primary) 

37 hours per week – Permanent – Term Time Only 

Salary Scale: AAT Grade 6 pts 16-22, Pro rata salary: £19,836 – £22.338 Full-Time Equivalent Salary: £23,369 – £26,317 

 

Due to promotion of the previous post holder, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated leader to join the Nigel Bowes Campus (Tregonwell Academy) – an outstanding special school for pupils aged 5-12 who present predominantly with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, along with other complex needs such as Autism and specific cognitive and learning difficulties.

If you have experience of safeguarding young people or have led aspects of safeguarding within an organisation, we welcome your application. The successful applicant will be expected to lead on the day-to-day safeguarding matters as they arise, attend conference and group meetings and work with all stakeholders including pupils, families and external agencies. We recognise the value of effective teamwork and this role will involve working directly with the DSL and staff to ensure we maintain the safety and well being of our pupils and their families. Due to the nature and importance of the role, a flexibility with working hours is essential.
