An exciting opportunity has arisen at the NSPCC regional hub in London and Southeast – Camden Base for an enthusiastic and dynamic social worker to join our team. You will have the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and expertise within services that are preventative, directly contributing to the wellbeing and safety of children and young people which will enhance future career options.

As a Children’s Services Practitioner you will be responsible for providing direct groupwork and one to one services, the planning and delivery of new services, contribution to evaluation, work in partnership with other agencies and the involvement of our service users in planning, decision making and evaluation.

In this role you will contribute to service development not only in terms of direct work but also be able to get involved in influencing, dissemination of learning and will have the opportunity to be part of an exciting new strategy to help end cruelty to children. You will also contribute to the delivery of our local campaigns and work alongside School’s Service to reach more children, young people and families.

We are looking for a Social Worker who wants to work constructively and creatively with a real passion for enhancing the life chances of children and young people. You will have the ability to plan and deliver appropriate programmes of work with individuals, families and groups and the skills to:

• The ability to identify risk
• experience of child protection intervention
• up to date knowledge of legislation, research and best practice
• the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of their own practice.
