Job Description

About the role:

Are you passionate about helping more children live within their family networks outside of the care system?

Hampshire County Council’s Children’s Services is one of the top local authorities in the country. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, we are continuously striving to improve.

Our transformation journey over the past five years has seen us develop a range of new services and ways of working. We are now introducing a Family Connections Service which will assess, prepare, and support carers who have a connection to the child. The team will play a vital role in helping more children to live and thrive within their family networks outside of the care system.

We are looking for an exceptional Assistant Team Manager who is enthusiastic about developing this new service, alongside the newly appointed Team Manager. The service will be supported by a Development Group with representation from County and District Services who will all play a role in establishing the service and making sure we deliver improved outcomes for children and their carers.

If you are excited by this opportunity to contribute to the development of a new service and bring together a team of dedicated Social Workers and practitioners to deliver change for children and carers, then we look forward to receiving your application.

Please note, This role can be based out of any District, but the Family Connections Service reports into the Havant District Manager.
