An opportunity has arisen within Renfrewshire HSCP for an Adult Services Manager to support the HSCP Chief Officer and Operational Heads of Service.

The successful postholder will support the HSCP Chief Officer and Operational Heads of Service to ensure that Social Work and Social Care practice is in keeping with appropriate legislative and regulatory standards. As such the postholder will provide professional leadership and supervision to managers responsible for Social Work and Social Care Functions, as well as having direct involvement in strategic planning, commissioning cycle and change management processes.
This position will suit someone with proven experience in successfully delivering safe, effective high-quality services, whilst managing increasing service demands in a rapidly changing environment. Applicants should have experience of managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams, budgetary management and working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to leverage more from our collective resources for the delivery of better outcomes across service areas. You will also have experience at a senior level of successfully leading and managing staff and resources within Social Work and Social Care Services. As well as this, you should have demonstrable experience in strategic planning and evidence of effectively challenging existing ways of working and promoting and leading improved practice as part of a wider service improvement, in partnership with other agencies.
It is essential that are educated to degree level and have an appropriate professional qualification in Social Work e.g. CQSW, Diploma in Social Work or equivalent. You should have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to facilitate effective decision making and to successfully manage competing demands. You will also demonstrate the ability to network effectively to build effective relationships, with well-developed communication and influencing skills, you will have a proven record of innovative thinking with a willingness to challenge and overcome complex situations.
Registration with SSSC is essential.
