Course outline:

This webinar summarises key updates and responsibilities of trustees and management committees in their safeguarding responsibilities.  It draws on compliance requirements and advice from Charity Commission and Department for Education. 

Training topics will include:

• What are the safeguarding compliance requirements 
• What are the latest developments 
• Leading and communicating the importance of safeguarding 
• What does oversight look like 
• Encouraging volunteers to grow and develop in their safeguarding knowledge and practice. 

Learning outcomes:

• Update knowledge of the range of safeguarding compliance requirements appropriate to your organisation including recent updates and developments 
• Explore the leadership and oversight role in relation to safeguarding 
• Encourage the ongoing development of a robust safeguarding culture 
• Support the development of compliance and best practice in safeguarding.
