About the Role

Outcomes First Group is hiring. We are looking for a Safeguarding Advisor to join our team at the Bolton Head Office, with the ability to work remotely as required.

Reporting to the Group Head of Safeguarding, our Safeguarding Advisor will be accountable for influencing stakeholders in each division of the group to make robust safeguarding decisions when dealing with serious incidents.

As our Safeguarding Advisor you will:

  • Provide advice, support, and constructive challenge to operational leaders in ensuring statutory processes are followed and maintain robust oversight of any allegations made against Outcomes First Group employees.
  • Maintain confidence and influence other central services and quality assurance roles to strengthen the group’s commitment to safeguarding
  • Develop and maintain effective audit and reporting systems
  • Undertake safeguarding reviews as required by the audit team and ensure that safeguarding is consistent and in line with company policy.

In this key role, you will provide practice oversight of the most serious safeguarding matters in the organisation. You will continuously monitor trends to identify risks and enable improvement activity at Outcomes First Group, which will include defining and developing our learning and development strategy in respect of safeguarding.

Who we are looking for:

Our successful candidate will hold a professional qualification to Level 6 in a relevant field, such as Social Work/Education/Healthcare or Public Sector, and have:

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Stakeholder influence, negotiation, and leadership experience at a senior level
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience and knowledge of safeguarding legislation and practice
  • Understanding of the external social care and education sector legislative and policy environment
  • Production and analysis of reports with the ability to spot trends
  • Project management skills and experience
