Justice Shujune, Judge, Supreme Court of the Maldives

Justice Shujune is recognized for her contributions to the development of the legal system in Maldives and her leadership in justice sector reform. This includes a pivotal role in initiating the current juvenile justice framework during her time at the Ministry of Justice and Juvenile Court. She continued her involvement in this area through policy development and stakeholder engagement, contributing to the eventual enactment of the Juvenile Justice Act and efforts to implement a child-sensitive justice system in the Maldives.
