Specific safeguarding concerns have always been a gendered issue, but our understanding and awareness of gender and gender identity, and how this intersects with vulnerability are developing.
This webinar looks at gender, vulnerability and safeguarding and how our current understandings impact safeguarding practice.
Training topics will include:
- Let’s talk gender
- Safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion
- Who feels vulnerable and who feels targeted?
- How to use what we know to inform a range of safeguarding and protective activity, including risk assessment and safety planning.
Learning outcomes:
- Refresh understanding of gender, EDI and vulnerability
- Consider some of the complexities of gender issues in safeguarding practice
- Reflect on how gender informs our responses, and decision-making as safeguarding practitioners.
