SUMMARY:Webinar: Working with your LADO or local council
DESCRIPTION:Course outline \nIn England and Wales\, the LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) is responsible for managing allegations against adults who work with children. The LADO oversees investigations to ensure thoroughness\, fairness and impartiality and works with employers\, schools\, children’s social care and the police. Similarly\, in Scotland\, your local Child Protection Committee (CPC) fulfils a similar role. \nIn managing safeguarding or child protection cases\, it is the responsibility of the organisation or individual who has received an allegation or concern to notify their local authority or council.
