SUMMARY:SACPA Group Safeguarding Supervision 2023-2024
DESCRIPTION:Course outline: \nThe aim of SACPA group safeguarding supervision sessions is to facilitate and develop a stable and trusting community of practice. Groups comprise up to eight safeguarding professionals who meet monthly for group safeguarding supervision. \nSACPA group supervision is available in blocks of six sessions of 75-minutes. \nHow will SACPA group safeguarding supervision work? \n\nSafeguarding professionals commit to the full six group supervision sessions via the booking form at the bottom of this page\nAhead of the first supervision session\, SACPA will convene a 45-minute planning meeting of registered supervisees to negotiate and agree a group supervision contract\, including the agreed models of group supervision and other working agreements\nSACPA group safeguarding supervision sessions will be delivered via zoom with the additional support of Google Classroom to enable and enhance community of practice work\n\nPlatform: Zoom (online) \nCost: \n\nSACPA Member: £450 for all 6 sessions\nNon-member: £900 for all 6 sessions\n\nBOOK NOW \n\n\n\nJanuary 11\, 2024\n12:00 – 13:15\n\n\nFebruary 15\, 2024\n12:00 – 13:15\n\n\nMarch 19\, 2024\n12:00 – 13:15\n\n\nMay 7\, 2024\n12:00 – 13:15\n\n\nJune 4\, 2024\n12:00 – 13:15\n\n\nJuly 2\, 2024\n12:00 – 13:15\n\n\n\n*If you would like to become a member and access discounted rates for Sacpa CPD and events\, please click here. \nSpeaker: \n \nClaire Dan \nClaire Dan is Director of Safeguarding at BSA Group and Director SACPA.  Claire is a safeguarding specialist and leader with a background in education welfare\, missing children\, multi-disciplinary youth justice and multi-disciplinary early help contexts. \nClaire has substantial experience in providing individual and group reflective safeguarding supervision of single and multi-disciplinary teams\, matrix management of seconded health\, education\, victim workers\, restorative conferencing workers\, youth justice case workers from a range of disciplines including social work and probation.  Claire is trained in a range of supervision models with specific GMAP training in the supervision of case workers responsible for assessing\, supervising and delivering interventions work to young people subject to court and civil orders who sexually harm. \nClaire is also a trained restorative justice and family group conference facilitator and is a supervisor of restorative conference facilitators. \n

SUMMARY:Association Forum - Sexual harassment and sexual violence: what happens when the police get involved
DESCRIPTION:Course outline: \nSacpa coffee morning forums are networking events\, free for members and £65 for non-members\, which run monthly throughout most of the year. These events form part of the Sacpa mission to bring safeguarding leaders and practitioners together for mutual support and learning. \nEach month safeguarding leads and practitioners meet online to network around a specific safeguarding theme. They are open to all colleagues working in safeguarding roles who have pre-booked and confirmed their place or confirmed the details of the colleague attending from their organisation. \nParticipants will receive a copy of the materials used\, and if they wish\, a reflective learning log template can be provided. \nIf you are not already a Sacpa member and want to benefit from networking with other safeguarding leads\, professional membership pays for itself in as little as two networking sessions.  Sacpa schedule six coffee morning forums focussed on safeguarding practice challenges and three coffee morning forums focussed on wider safeguarding and association matters each year. Claire is a safeguarding specialist and leader with a background in education welfare\, youth justice\, and early help contexts which have involved a strong focus on diverse and collaborative partnerships\, professional development and supervision of front-line safeguarding colleagues\, and leading multi-disciplinary teams and projects. Between 2006 and 2013 Claire was involved with Luton Safeguarding Children Board as a lead multi-agency safeguarding trainer\, developing and delivering single and multi-agency safeguarding training\, and since 2013 has delivered pieces of bespoke consultancy work\, and providing a range of safeguarding consultancy on a freelance basis.
